Solar MD Lights Up Lives

High school studies cause all kinds of stress for kids everywhere but it’s easy to understand how they are amplified when the electricity supply isn’t reliable.  Just ask Asheville, or so many communities in Florida…

In SA right now, the country may be celebrating 200 days of uninterrupted power supply – which is undeniably, and surprisingly, good news – but it’s hard for our Net Buddies and their families to relax when they can’t trust that the lights at school and in some homes won’t go off again, leaving them in the dark when they should be studying in preparation for life and work after school.

So you can imagine the warm welcome given to our partners from Solar MD, who paid us a visit in Alexandra township earlier this month! Rizqah Mac Girlley, Verena Kemmris and Byron Rose are part of the team that generously donated back-up battery power systems to our Infinite Family LaunchPads two years ago.  As they saw for themselves, they don’t just bring light and power to the workplaces where our NetBuddies do their homework and have their VC sessions. They light up our teens too!

A huge, electrifying thank you to Solar MD for helping us to keep the lights on … and for keeping the spirit of resilience and responsibility burning in our very special NetBuddies, who know they won’t be left behind!
