Background Clearance

Background Clearance and Consent Process

Because we work with minor-aged children,  it is especially important to all of us at Infinite Family to maintain best practices for the safety and protection of our Net Buddy Mentees.  These procedures include our mentors’ agreement with:

  • Criminal Background Clearance,
  • Ethical Guidelines, and
  • Waiver and Pledge of Confidentiality.

For US Mentors: Infinite Family staff will conduct the Criminal Background Clearance during your phone interview through a consumer reporting agency.  This report does not include information concerning your character, employment history, general reputation, personal characteristics, education, qualifications, mode of living, and/or credit and indebtedness.

For Non-US Mentors: If you live outside of the U.S., the Background Clearance will require that you obtain an official document stating that you have not been charged with any serious crimes. This document can usually be obtained by contacting your local police or other agency and filling out the required forms.

Please return your official document to Infinite Family by scanning and emailing it to mentorapplication@infinitefamily.org

Thank you again for your interest in becoming a Video Mentor with Infinite Family! Please contact us if you have questions or would like more assistance with the Background Clearance process.
