Because we work with minor-aged children, all Infinite Family mentors need to have a Criminal Background Clearance concerning your police record on file. Infinite Family staff will conduct the Criminal Background Clearance during your phone interview through a consumer reporting agency. This report does not include information concerning your character, employment history, general reputation, personal characteristics, education, qualifications, mode of living, and/or credit and indebtedness. Currently, Infinite Family uses First Advantage| Volunteer Advantage to provide these reports, but Infinite Family may use another reporting agency in the future.
Please answer the questions below and confirm that you have read and approve the process for Infinite Family to obtain a Background Clearance.
In order to obtain the consumer report, an Infinite Family employee will request your social security, address, and date of birth during a phone interview, and at the same time, submit it directly to the reporting agency. Infinite Family will not keep its own records of this information you give over the phone.
Should you have a criminal record, Infinite Family will conduct a more in-depth interview with you before making a decision about your application. Within 5 days of your written request, Infinite Family will provide you with a copy of the report, the name, address, and telephone number of the reporting agency, a summary of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and additional information on your rights under the law.
